Instagram Rolls Out Pinned Comment Feature To Manage Tone Of Conversation

Instagram launched their Pinned Comment feature they started testing in May 2020 to all users this week. Wondering what are Instagram Pinned Comments, how to pin a comment or why you would want to?

By highlighting positive comments, you can better manage the tone of the conversation.

For starters you will need to update your Instagram app to access the ability to pin a comment.

Note this feature is not available on the desktop version of the platform.

How To Pin Comment On Instagram:

• Tap on your Instagram post and go to the comments. Swipe the comment you’d like pinned to the left and tap on the thumbtack icon.
• Once action is saved, the comment will move to the top of the comments with a “Pinned” label underneath it.

You can pin up to three comments. Comments can be removed or swapped out for new ones by swiping to the left and tapping on the thumbtack icon.

That’s all folks. It’s not the chronological feed we’ve been asking for but it’s something.
